The sea bream was absolutely delicious! No wonder it's Rick's favourite! Came with new potatoes and a few green leaves - you can order side vegetables but only necessarily if you particularly want veggies. The serving sizes are decent and we couldn't finish our potatoes. Note the fish is a whole fish so it has all its bones which inexperienced fish eaters may struggle with. We also shared the mackerel as entree which was battered and really nice. Starters are large enough to share unless you're really hungry. Desserts also lovely and cater to different tastes, traditional, fresh, chocolate, cheese depending on what you feel like. Obviously expensive and we did make a reservation given it was a Saturday night. Yes you can even buy some of Rick's recipe books there as well as some candles and soap made by his wife (?). Overall really nice experience.

Had a great meal here last night with Friends. From the moment we arrived the service we received was excellent. The food, ever was really good. Particular favorites were the oysters with spicy sausage and the Sushumi as starters. Standout mains were the Hake on the bone and Indonesian curry. We were served by Ali and a big thank you to him as his team. A perfect evening!

A lovely situated town centre restaurant. A great menu with a good selection, mainly fish (as you would expect). The food was excellent as was the service. Would highly recommend,

The restaurant is nicely laid out, being open plan, with tables are functional and not flashy and are reasonably well spaced apart. The kitchen is also an integral part of the restaurant, providing fabulous aromas to add to the experience. The menu is not extensive, which to my mind is a good thing. As expected, all of the dishes were nicely presented, with the hot dishes cooked perfectly. The oysters were very fresh and habeen shucked just prior to serving. I ordered the shellfish ragout for my main dish, which was delicious. The service is as one would expect from a high-end restaurant - our server was really polite and efficient. This wasn't a cheap night out, but I was very happy to pay a premium price and the 12.5% service charge for top-quality food and the attentive staff.

Visited Winchester and as my husband is a Rick Stein fan booked us in for lunch. The staff were amazing from the moment we entered. We had a few small plate starters and both had the Indonesia curry which was absolutely delicious. Rick's own lager was also really good

My friend took me here for lunch today and it was such a wonderful surprise and a fabulous food experience. We chose the house white wine - which was beautiful - and then I chose the shellfish linguine ragu. It was beautifully made and so tasty. My friend chose Oysters Pernod and then the Mussels - which he throughly enjoyed. For desert, we shared the Winchester Pudding - which was sumptuous and we could happily have eaten more, only we were full. The service from the staff was fantastic and they added to the whole experience. The decor was relaxed and inviting and the atmosphere was lovely and chilled. It was such a lovely experience and I happily paid the optional service charge. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal and experience.
